LCM: OLIVER SPENCER AW15

Posted on by Cameron Tewson

For AW15 Oliver Spencer takes influence from the work of artist and sculptor David Nash. The natural environment of his work is strongly reflected through a variety of fabrications, textures and tones. Fabrics are so soft to touch appear throughout; alpaca, recycled cashmere and fine lambswool. Clean lines and details deliver the feeling of contemporary luxury.

The colour palette is influenced by the natural environment. Charcoals and heavy greys are juxtaposed with cream to imitate the effect of charred wood. Accent bright colours and floral prints punctuate the collection.

Shape is modern, clean and with silhouettes reflecting the structural influence of Nash’s sculptures. The key pieces include five-yarn lambswool overused roll neck, double breasted coat in alpaca, mid night sheepskin on the reverse suede bomber jacket and made in England scotch grain leather shoes and accessories.
