LONDON FASHION WEEK: MOLLY GODDARD AUTUMN WINTER 2017

This season, Molly Goddard presented her Autumn/Winter 2017 collection on Saturday and continued to diversify her brand. It was her second big runway show after the brand started small with presentations across the capital and the biggest yet, in a huge space dressed ready for a dinner party where everyone was invited.

Goddard’s collection consisted of voluminous pieces are the perfect combination of girlie and edgy: pretty and nostalgic, but non the less, notoriously difficult to pull off. The airy tulle smock dresses that made the designer famous are exactly like grown-up dolls’ dresses — were still a key part of the collection, but Goddard proved that she has plenty of other tricks up her sleeve, including some more wearable, slimline shapes proving that she isn’t all frills and fantasy.
