FIVE OF THE BEST INSTAGRAM ACCOUNTS WORTH FOLLOWING

Posted on by Cameron Tewson

A recent new survey has uncovered the A-list celebrities who have the highest number of fake followers on social media – and like me, you might not be surprised at the results. But with increasing saturation, I’ve become truly bored of the Instagram hype and the social status of having a certain follower count. Enjoying Instagram for what it is; I’ve narrowed down the top 5 accounts that like and enjoy – all of these savvy content creators are well worthy of a follow:

The Lifestyle Influencer… @littlelondonwhispers
Lusting after London? Recently named one of the London Evening Standard Instagram accounts to follow, Emma Bevan taps into London’s hidden corners and of course – sure gives us street envy with her unique photos. Bevan sees London beyond the pretty pink street cafes and crafts carefully curated content, with a raw edge. Showing off my home city of London in the best way possible.

The Fashion Influencer… @pennygoldstone
Penny Goldstone is the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK. Apart from working for one of the biggest glossy magazines, Penny has a keen interest in niche labels and can be found decoding trends on her feed weekly, as well as her IG stories! Not into niche? From And Other Stories to Zara, she has you covered!

The Fashion Historian… @McQueen_Vault
If like me you don’t care for whats on the racks in Alexander McQueen stores today, we can relive history and delve into the archive, with thanks to the curated feed. Boasting over an impressive 40,000 followers, founder John Matheson told Dazed Media that “McQueen means visceral and creative emotion,” to him. Reaching further than a mere timeline or document ever could, @mcqueen_vault offers a community dedicated to the late designer and the fashion house.

The Interior Influencer… @em_henderson
With endless interior brands, blogs and interior pages taking over, Emily Henderson does it well. The ELLE Décor approved influencer is known for her bohemian edge. If you head over to her Instagram, you’ll find bright, colour-filled spaces that are oh so photogenic.

3-INGREDIENT BROCCOLI & CHEDDAR FRITTERS . Who’s tried my recipe for these broccoli & cheddar fritters? They are so tasty, easy to prepare and only have 3 ingredients (broccoli, cheddar, egg), so are perfect for a lower carb/gluten-free/keto meal . I layered with harrissa yoghurt and a poached egg for a seriously yummy breakfast . . Recipe: Grate 50g raw broccoli (or blitz in a food processor), then mix with 30g grated cheddar cheese, 1 egg and any herbs/seasonings of your choice. Heat a pan with a little oil/oil spray and add your mixture, using around 1 tbsp per fritter. Cook on each side for 2-3 mins or until golden & crispy. Serve and stack with toppings of your choice. For a perfect poached egg, bring a saucepan of water to the boil and add a drop of white wine vinegar & a pinch of salt. Crack in your egg/s and turn the heat down to a simmer. Cook for 4 minutes exactly then remove with a slotted spoon and place on some kitchen paper before serving to absorb any extra water. The harrissa yoghurt is just 1/2 tsp harrissa paste mixed with 1 tbsp natural yoghurt (so good ). Enjoy! . Tag someone who needs to make you fritters for breakfast . #whatiateforbreakfast
