MULBERRY ANNOUNCES SPONSORSHIP – The Most Popular Art Exhibition Ever

British luxury brand Mulberry is announced tis morning that they are the principal sponsor of artist Grayson Perry’s new exhibition “The Most Popular Art Exhibition Ever!” at the Serpentine Gallery in London. Grayson Perry is considered one of the country’s most astute commentators on British society and culture and is an icon of the British art scene.

In celebration of the exhibition’s launch at the beginning of June, Johnny Coca and Grayson Perry collaborated on the design of two new Mulberry bags. Both are bespoke versions of the new Amberley bag, featuring detachable and interchangeable leather and chain handles. One version, designed to match Grayson’s outfit for the launch, features a croc-effect hologram (below, left) finish with candy pink suede lining, while the other is in a vivid lemon yellow smooth calf leather (below, right).

Grayson Perry mentioned this morning: “I do love a handbag. Handbags are sculptures; we sit them on the table and feast our eyes and we cannot resist touching them. Can’t wait to plunge my hand into my new Mulberry.”
